About St. Pauls Public School

St. Paul’s Public School was founded in 1981 under the patronage of the Bishop of Cochin Rt. Rev. Dr. Joseph Kureethara with Very Rev. Msgr. Paul Katticherry as the School Manager and Mrs. Patsy de Rosario as the Headmistress. In 1983 Rev. Dr. Francis M.J. Fernandez took over as the new Manager and during his time the school blossomed from Lower Primary to Upper Primary with the Recognition of the Govt. of Kerala.

After the demise of Rt. Rev. Dr. Joseph Kureethara in the year 2000, the new Bishop Rt. Rev. Dr. John Thattumkal became the Patron of the school. In the year 2001 Rev. Dr. Joseph Kandanattuthara took charge as Manager of the school and in 2002 C.B.S.E. Syllabus was introduced.

In January 2006, Rev. Fr. Jiju Kochukariyil took over St. Paul’s Public School and under his managership the school began to take a new shape and structure. Well equipped labs for Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths and Computer were set up. In April 2006 Mr. Augustine Jerome Manakkatt was appointed as Principal. In November 2006 the school was upgraded to Senior Secondary level. Plus one batches in Science I, Science II and Commerce started in the academic year 2007 – ’08.

On the resignation to Rev. Dr John Thattumkal, Most Rev. Dr. Daniel Acharuparambil became the Apostolic Administrator of Cochin Diocese. In July 2009 Rev. Dr. Joseph Kariyil took the office of the Bishop of Cochin Diocese and took charge as the Parton of St. Paul’s Public School. After the retirement of Mr. Augustine Jerome in March 2012, Prof. Robert Stanley took charge as the Principal from June 2012. In January 2016, Rev. Fr. Antony Kuzhivelil took over as the new manager.
